As told to Gem Hunt
My Fiancé Daniel and I first met when we were 13 and 14, it was young love at its finest.. We dated for a year before sadly parting ways to go and experience life separately. We remained friends catching up occasionally. Years later, after moving away for study, I returned home and Daniel and I rekindled our love and we have basically been inseparable ever since.
We didn't waste any time moving in together and eventually buying our first home at the end of 2014. We knew that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together and that marriage was on the cards but I was still surprised when he eventually got down on one knee. Daniel had planned a weekend away down at the Tasman Peninsular in Tasmania, we went out for tea at the lodge we were staying at and Daniel had planned to propose after tea... However, none the wiser I had turned the tables and surprised him with a Ghost Tour (so romantic, oops) which pushed his plans back. When we finally got back to our room he asked me to close my eyes, I was so nervous and didn't know what was happening.. When I opened them he was down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was so surprised and so excited to share the news with our family and friends who were all so happy for us!
The ring is a gorgeous!. Showcasing 1/3 carat total weight of diamonds arranged in a circular cluster. It is so perfect and I love it! Now time to plan the big day!!
