We are obsessed and we mean obsessed with a clean diamond. Once you have a truly clean diamond I don't think its possible to live with a dirty one. We have actually contemplated purchasing a professional jewelry cleaning machine but those will set you back around $250+ and we prefer to put that skrilla towards our new diamond budget if you know we what we mean.
Our preferred cleaning method and is a little windex (doesn't just make your windows sparkle) and warm water. Soak for 10 to 15 minutes and then we use an an old (soft is the key word here) toothbrush and scrub, scrub, scrub. Pro-tip to scrub the bottom the most, which tends to be where the build up happens, then rinse and repeat if necessary. Best lesson we learned is from @jewelsbygrace who recommends a blow dyer on the cool setting to blow away any water spots.
If you want read about other diamond experts waxing on jewelry cleaning we recommend our interviews with @jewelsbygrace, @vechler, @stephaniegottlieb. Consider this post and official call to action to go clean your diamonds, because nobody likes a dirty diamond.
