We are voyeuristic by nature. We think that is the part of the appeal looking at engagement rings on instagram. You can get the close-up shot that you are too shy to ask for in person and find out the really juicy details (well for a diamond addict) — are the prongs spilt? Is the setting high or low? Are those trillions on the side? These are all questions that run through our mind we see an engagement ring that we like!
We are taking it one step further and bringing you an expose into some of the most famous engagement rings on Instagram. We started with Stephanie Gottlieb’s and are continuing on the round cut diamond love train. Next up we have the famous Tracy of @the_diamonds_girl on Instagram's lovely D flawless (yes we said, D flawless) engagement ring. She is our kind of gal - re: quality over, over quantity, but you have to find out more for yourself by reading the below article.
Let’s start at the beginning — what is your proposal story?
Believe it or not, I was a wild child! My husband was my soulmate, and there was no one I was enjoying partying with more! One night we were at a club and he leaned over and whispered something in my ear. The music was so loud, so you couldn’t really hear what he said, but I nodded and smiled anyway! I went to the bathroom with my sister and said to her I think I may have just got engaged… and she was like “you think?” ! We walked out to hear the DJ announcing a congratulations to us, and to my husband's best friend spraying us with champagne! I think we called our parents at 6AM to tell them the news!
What are the specs on your engagement ring?
My husband has always been a believer in quality over quality. My ring is a simple two carat solitaire, but it is a D Flawless, and is truly a most gorgeous stone! I opted for a very classical “Tiffany” setting, complimented by a 4 carat eternity band.
What is your favorite thing about your ring?
I love the timeless simplicity of my ring. It’s a classic and easy to wear. I have lately been toying with the idea of adding two side stones, and having a three stone setting, but every time I look at my ring I hesitate, for sentimental reasons more than anything else!
What is your favorite way to take care of your ring?
I am hard on jewelry. I lose and break it, sadly. So it’s ideal that I have a hard wearing, low maintenance ring. It requires little maintenance, although it is due a professional polish. I also have the prongs checked, on both on them. I have seen many eternity rings missing a stone and I make sure my settings are secure.
